Woe is me! for I am as when they have gathered the summer fruits, as the grapegleanings of the vintage: there is no cluster to eat: my soul desired the firstripe fruit. 1 The church, complaining of her small number,
and the general corruption,
puts her confidence not in man, but in God.
She triumphs over her enemies.
She prays to God.
God comforts her by promises of confusion to her enemies;
and by his mercies.
